Wendy Davis
Wendy Davis, a graduate of the Race Track Industry Program, is one of the two associate coordinators of the RTIP. She acts as the primary student advisor for the RTIP, helping students navigate through the process of getting into the University and then getting through it!
Her teaching duties include:

Animal Racing Industry - Animal Sciences 340 - Race Track Marketing
and Media Relations
Davis is also the RTIP’s point person for the coordination and conduct of the North American Steward/Judge Accreditation Program for flat racing, harness and greyhound stewards/judges. Prior to joining the RTIP staff, Davis was involved with The University of Arizona as the manager of the Equine Unit of the U of A’s Campbell Avenue Agriculture Complex. The University stands 3-4 stallions at stud and services both university mares and horses from the public. The farm is used for class laboratory sessions for the Animal Sciences 270 - Horse Science and Animal Sciences 476 - Horse Production courses as well as many independent study projects. Students are encouraged to come to the farm an participate in all aspects of the horse business from foaling out mares to starting young horses under saddle. Davis has extensive experience in the equine industry. For many years she owned and operated, Simpatico Farm, a full-service equine business which included breaking, training and instruction in a number of equine disciplines and activities. In addition to the training, she was also involved in the animal health side of the industry assisting in anesthesia for a large animal surgical clinic.
Current interests include competing on the hunter-jumper circuit, raising thoroughbreds for the commercial yearling and hunter/jumper markets and duffing through an occasional round of golf.
